JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for supporting all facets of fundraising for Newberry College. Working closely with Institutional Advancement staff, the Fundraising Coordinator will be a team member and will work with donors in researching, finding prospects, working with current donors and providing stewardship to donors. The Fundraising Coordinator will coordinate giving programs as designed and planned by the Advancement team.
JOB FUNCTIONS
* Use Blackbaud software to research and find potential donors.
* Assist in grant writing for corporations and foundations
* Assist Advancement staff in all areas of fundraising.
* Assist in producing relevant content for publications.
* Assist in planning and execution of a solicitation plan for donors
* Assist in planning alumni engagement events
* Attend College events and functions
* Produce internal and external progress reports that evaluate the overall success of fundraising efforts.
* Keep current with best practices, innovative developments, and trends in annual giving.
* Any other tasks as assigned by the Chief Development Officer.
EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Bachelor's degree is required. Experience preferred, but not required. Applicant must have effective excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, obtain strong organizational and time management skills, have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, and has the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
