We are currently looking for Furnace Operators at our Hodges, SC plant. Current openings are for all shifts (see below for times). If you have prior manufacturing experience, we want to talk with you!As a Melt Operations Controller you will be responsible for charge make-up and delivery of iron. You will also set, adjust and operate controls of one or more induction or arc furnaces to melt metal for casting purposes.Job Duties/Responsibilities include:Operates control station to monitor and control melting stationAnalyzes control signalsControls melting operationsDetects deviations and initiates corrective actionBasic QualificationsExperience in iron pouring, ladle repair, furnace charging and furnace operation.Must have an understanding of basic gray/ductile iron charge make-up to produce iron that meets required specifications.Physical RequirementsAbility to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 poundsAbility to stand throughout a 8-hour shiftAbility to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipmentTop candidates will also possess:Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experienceMath skillsSolid verbal and written communication skillsProblem solving and decision-making capabilitiesAvailable shifts are as follows:3rd: 10:00pm – 6:30am Sun-Thurs *In return, we offer a competitive starting wage of $19.75 per hour, a full suite of employer sponsored benefits to include health insurance, dental, vison, life, disability, 401k retirement plan and many additional perks , a professional learning environment, paid time off, paid holidays, a fun and professional team environment, and exciting career & growth opportunities.
