Role Summary
Manage daily activities related to the installation of furniture systems and facilities breakroom equipment. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the daily workflow activities related to scheduling, delivery, installation, service and repair activities of the Installation Services Team and uphold service levels regarding quality, accuracy, customer satisfaction and related performance metrics.
- Maintains CFS reports.
- Ensure that delivery ticket confirmations are completed daily.
- Manage the troubleshooting process to resolve customer issues.
- Review and code invoices to ensure accuracy from vendors, submit to Manager for approval.
- Directs workflow of warehouse staff, service delivery coordinator, and installation team.
- This includes responsible to uphold service levels with third party vendor(s) regarding quality, accuracy, customer satisfaction and related performance metrics.
- Coordinate with Lines of Business Sales, Design, FC/SDO Operations and Project Services team members on installation project timelines.
- Develop all quotes related to services charges and provide to Sales.
- Oversees all warehouse and location activities, including assisting with walk in retail customers
- Responsible for building maintenance, safety and security.
- Hire, train, evaluate, discipline and terminate installation services associates as needed.
- Maintain time and personnel records, Kronos, DOT, safety, associate performance and truck maintenance files.
- Implement and roll out new technologies and processes as required
- Champion process improvement.
- Responsible for all safety procedures in the performance of job duties. Adhere to local, provincial/state, and federal OSHA and DOT safety rules and regulations. Demonstrates safe work behaviors and promptly corrects hazardous conditions.
- Might need to act as on-site lead on projects based on resources.
- May be required to travel, possibly for extended periods of time.
- May be required to work nonstandard business hours.
- May be required to perform the physical demands of an installer.
- Additional duties as required.
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Preferred three (3) years' experience of supervisory experience in installation or logistics.
- Maintain professional demeanor under short lead-times and deadlines.
- Demonstrate competence in writing installation project and punchlist forms.
- Knowledgeable in the operation of warehouse equipment and lightweight tools (i.e., use of a forklift or pallet jack to move product; and lightweight tools to install and/or repair products).
- One year experience leading small projects preferred
- Basic computer skills; MS Office and mobile technology. Provide time estimates regarding change orders (differentiator or not?
- Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner. Minimum 1-year of truck driving experience of a 16 ft. or longer straight truck
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card
- Must have a valid driver's license (no “major moving violations” as described in the employment application supplement and in accordance with applicable state law.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership skills with proven organization and motivational proficiency.
- Ability to manage customer relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture items.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols related to furniture installation and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within the furniture industry.
- Certification or training in furniture installation techniques.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Experience using delivery tracking software or systems.
