Furniture Assistant - Datrose : Job Details

Job Summary:

Our client Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is looking to hire a Furniture Mover Specialist to work fully in-person in the Facilities Management Services! This is a contract position (temp-to-perm), lasting up to 6 months with opportunity to become permanent. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The perfect candidate will have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and have some experience working with shipping and receiving previously.

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform the proper furniture movement process in order to replace, remove and install furniture in student rooms and public lounge areas.

* Provide excellent customer service to our students in meeting their furniture moving requests.

* Permitted access to student rooms to move furniture.

* Assist in maintaining the Furniture storage areas.

* Assist in shipping and receiving of all Housing Operations furniture and equipment.

Job Requirements:

* Valid Driver's License

* Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

* Prior experience working with a moving company is a plus, not required
