FWS - Wellness Center Staff at Findlay YMCA (Federal Work-Study)

Job Description:

This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study.

Provides support for the YMCA Wellness Center and the members who use the Wellness Center.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

* Wellness trends

* Exercise equipment safety

* Customer Service

Essential Functions:

* Coach members in support of their desired behavior change

* Regularly check on members' program in meeting personal and program goals

* Answer questions from members

* Build effective, authentic relationships with members

* Help members connect with each other and the YMCA

* Introduce new members to group exercise communities

* Utilize tools/information to increase member knowledge of wellness (ex. handouts, schedules)

* Maintain and clean equipment

* Be visible on the Wellness Floor at least 85% of each shift

* Follow YMCA policies and procedures

* Other duties as assigned
