Advertised Position Title:FWS - Wellness Center Staff at Findlay YMCA (Federal Work-Study)Job Description:This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study.(If you're unsure of your eligibility, please contact [email protected].)Provides support for the YMCA Wellness Center and the members who use the Wellness Center.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:* Wellness trends* Exercise equipment safety* Customer ServiceEssential Functions:* Coach members in support of their desired behavior change* Regularly check on members' program in meeting personal and program goals* Answer questions from members* Build effective, authentic relationships with members* Help members connect with each other and the YMCA* Introduce new members to group exercise communities* Utilize tools/information to increase member knowledge of wellness (ex. handouts, schedules)* Maintain and clean equipment* Be visible on the Wellness Floor at least 85% of each shift* Follow YMCA policies and procedures* Other duties as assignedOther Characteristics* Personable* Dependable* MotivatedMinimum Education/Experience* High school diploma or equivalent* Ability to pass a background checkUnion Position:Job Classification:Student WorkerDuty Days:Work Schedule:Grant Funded Position:FLSA Status:United States of America (Non-Exempt)Pay Basis:HourlyHiring Range:$10.10-$12.50Retirement System:SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification)
