You will be a Game Engineer with a primary responsibility of building in-game features, and integrating with backend services. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and have outstanding communication skills.Responsibilities
- Full solution engineering that includes changes to the game, UI, and build pipeline.
- Build in-game features that integrate with online SDKs with an eye on performance and usability.
- Integrate First-party platform features, while meeting console certification requirements.
- Collaborate with programmers and artists to get their features to run as fast and efficiently as possible.
- Solve crashes and other problems on consoles and PC.
- Mentor less experienced programmers.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interest in gaming.
- Strong knowledge of C++. Write clear, maintainable, portable C++ code. You have 3 or more years of experience developing and shipping commercial games using C++.
- You're a pragmatic engineer that puts player experiences over your own ego and code.
- Experience developing for consoles.
- Experience working with bespoke game engines.
- PLUS: Experience modding games.
Benefits
- Compensation: $90,000-125,000/year. Please note that final base pay will ultimately depend upon a combination of factors, including your prior experience, general qualifications, and broader skill set.
