The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking an experienced and dependable Game Lands Maintenance Worker for the State Game Lands. The primary purpose of these lands is the management of habitat for wildlife and provide opportunities for lawful hunting and trapping. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1, you will be performing semi-skilled work and assisting with other duties as needed. For example, in this position you will assist with maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more. You will also have the opportunity to assist with mowing, habitat management, and other duties. This is the perfect job for you to continuedeveloping skills in the construction trades, as well as expanding your knowledge and understanding of the agency's wildlife habitat program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

+ Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.

+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

+ One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment;or

+ One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment;or

+ One year of construction equipment operation experience;or

+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

+ You must possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Post-Employment Requirement:

+ All positions are required to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of employment in this job.

Additional Requirements:

+ This is position is located in Industry PA, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. You must be willing to work and commute to this location.

+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

+ Personal or professional experience in wildlife habitat management, which includes producing food plots, improving or maintaining existing habitat to benefit wildlife by using tools and/or equipment

+ Valid certifications, credentials, or licenses that may assist in this position

+ Ability to traverse all types of terrains and work in all types of weather conditions
