FUNCTIONThe Gaming Attendant is responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience for all patrons while ensuring the safety and integrity of gaming activities. This position involves actively assisting players, monitoring gaming machines, and providing excellent customer service throughout the gaming floor. - Ensure a welcoming and safe environment for guests by providing friendly, professional, and prompt service to all patrons.
- Actively monitor gaming machines to ensure proper operation, safety, and compliance with gaming regulations.
- Provide assistance to guests with game rules, payouts, and other gaming-related queries.
- Maintain knowledge of gaming floor layout, including locations of games, promotions, and amenities, to offer accurate information to guests.
- Inspect and maintain machines and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly. Report malfunctions to appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
- Assist with the collection and payout of winnings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Address any customer service issues or complaints in a professional and efficient manner, escalating concerns to the Gaming Operations Supervisor when necessary.
- Monitor the gaming floor for any suspicious activity and report unusual or fraudulent behavior in compliance with gaming security protocols.
- Adhere to all internal controls, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure the integrity of gaming operations.
- Help ensure compliance with age verification requirements for all patrons engaging in gaming activities.
- Be proactive in engaging with guests to promote a positive and enjoyable experience. Learn guests' preferences and personalize service where possible.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and support gaming promotions, events, and offers, encouraging guests to participate.
- Maintain a clean and organized gaming floor, ensuring all areas are free of hazards and that gaming equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as recording guest interactions, processing paperwork, and completing shift reports as required.
- Remain flexible to working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a customer service or gaming environment preferred.
- Knowledge of gaming rules, gaming operations, and customer service best practices preferred.
- Must have basic math and money-handling skills.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
