Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Houston, Texas. We're seeking a Gas Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you'll be working closely with various teams such as trading, marketing, and origination.Responsibilities:- Accurately and efficiently process gas scheduling tasks, including pipeline nominations- Utilize electronic bulletin boards for scheduling gas movements- Monitor and communicate updates on pipeline operations- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in volumes- Monitor and communicate changes in producer supplies- Manage imbalances in the pipeline and optimize pipeline capacities- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of nominations, confirmations, and scheduling of natural gas transactions- Review and approve invoices for pipeline transportation and storage- Act as a liaison with the settlements team for pipeline and storage invoice reconciliation- Use your knowledge of the Gas Industry, Gas Pipelines, and Gas Turbines to effectively perform your role. Requirements - Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Energy/Natural Resources industry- In-depth knowledge of Gas Pipelines, Gas Turbines, and Terminals is required- Must have experience in the Gas Industry, especially in Gas Scheduling- Proficiency in managing Cash Activities is necessary- Proficiency in dealing with Commodities in the Gas Industry is required- Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines- Should have strong organizational and planning abilities- Proficiency in using computer software related to the Gas Industry is desirable- Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field, a master's degree would be a plus- Professional certifications related to the Gas Industry would be an advantage- Must have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the Gas Industry- Ability to work in a team as well as independently- Must have a strong commitment to ethical practices and compliance with laws and regulations related to the Gas Industry.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
