Gate Attendant - County of Spotsylvania Virginia : Job Details

Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks in support of the Public Works Department. Work involves monitoring the recycling and disposal of residential waste, along with maintenance of buildings. Employee is also responsible for ensuring that users comply with the rules and regulations of the facility set forth by the Operations Manager. Personnel occupying this position may be scheduled to work irrespective of weather conditions and/or when general County offices are closed. Special Duties & Responsibilities - Monitors the disposal of residential waste. - Removes snow and ice from yards and buildings; sweeps yards and rakes, blows and removes leaves. - Picks up and disposes of litter around the buildings. - Communicates with public in person or via telephone. - Completes time sheets and relays information to Public Work Department. - Performs other related duties as required.
