REPORTS TO: Pastor of MinistriesPOSITION PURPOSE: Hillside Fellowship believes that Jesus Changes Everything! Our mission is to make disciples who press on to maturity, rooted in the Word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God. We intend to accomplish this mission by strategically focusing on three priorities: Gathering, Growing & Going. The Gathering Team Lead will provide leadership and oversight to the areas of service planning, production, and hospitality in a way that advances the vision, mission, and values of Hillside.DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide WINSOME leadership and oversight to all leaders, teams, and ministries within the Gathering frame work, which include, but are not limited to, Music, Tech/Production, Welcome, and Care.
- Under the direction of the Pastor of Ministries, collaborate with other ministry team leaders to serve, support, and advance the mission of Hillside
- Provide leadership and oversight for all Gatherings. These include, but are not limited to, corporate weekend services and special events (Easter, Christmas Eve, You Are The Church, Annual Family Celebration, funerals, etc. ).
- Provide leadership and direction over service planning for all Gathering events. Work with team leaders to ensure services are planned out monthly. Ensure services align with the values of Hillside and advance its vision and mission
- Provide leadership and direction over service production for all Gathering events. Work with team leaders to ensure all audio, video, lighting, digital media, and stage equipment function to provide a distraction-free environment in support of Hillside's mission
- Provide leadership and direction over hospitality for all Gathering events. Work with welcome team leaders (ushers, parking, security, food, etc.) and others to sustain and build a WINSOME culture so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is both heard and seen. This responsibility can be viewed as rolling out the red carpet to invite everyone to come and join us as we follow Jesus together. (Romans 12:13)
- Participate in regular meetings and training as requested by the Pastor of Ministries
- Work with the Pastor of Ministries and the Executive Pastor to develop and maintain the annual Gatherings operating budget
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor of Ministries in advancement of Hillside's vision, mission, and values.
QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrate a maturing relationship with Jesus & embody the qualities of 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a ministry team leadership role and five years of related experience in creative arts production is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a healthy servant leader in both small and large team environments.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a proven ability to teach others.
- Must possess a strong desire to train future leaders and a track record of multiplication.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and empower leaders and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy which aligns with vision, mission, and values; and an ability to execute strategically in a team setting.
- Must be extremely well organized, possess a strong work ethic, and possess the ability to function in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
