Job purpose We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Commodity Manager for Software and Software Services to join our growing PHINIA global supply chain team! This role is a key figure leading procurement activity for PHINIA. This role will lead IT and GSM Corporate Terms & Conditions, price negotiations, and manage the supplier portfolio. The role will oversee the development of global commodity strategies, achieve defined cost reduction targets/cost avoidance. This position will provide the right candidate with ample opportunity to learn new areas of supply chain in an exciting fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Global Commodity Management Program Leader/Manager, Software, Software Services and Software Maintenance
- Manage Global Team meetings with Users to assure Service level
- Develop Commodity Strategies and supplier portfolios
- Ensure an appropriate supplier management
- Consulting with internal Stakeholders for best and sustainable solutions
- Lead Terms and Conditions and price negotiations
- Manage sub-commodities including Software, Software Maintenance, and Software Services
- Achieve defined cost reduction targets
- Good understanding of the relevant legal framework
- Ability to operate independently
- Be prepared to travel as required
- Manage internal client and supplier relationships
- Monitor and assess supplier performance
- Evaluate and respond to changes in global market developments
- Understand market pricing, trends, and business activities
- Develop and maintain qualified suppliers
- Adheres to Corporate, IT and GSM procedures
- Coordinates contract requirements globally
- Internal Control compliance
What we're looking for Required - 10+ years' experience in global purchasing activities for above commodities
- Prior experience leading projects and project teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Global management and operational experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team player who thrives on a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Individual contributor role with demonstrated leadership within cross-functional team, decision making and creative thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Ability to handle and resolve simultaneous multiple and complex tasks
- Demonstrated MS Office product skills
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or IT, or a related field
- C.P.M. Certified Purchasing Manager is a preferred certification
