Position Description:

The Solution Architect will help GDIA teams with the architecture of new and existing applications using Cloud architecture patterns and processes. Works with product teams to define, assemble and integrate components based on Ford standards and business requirements (examples: hardware, software, availability, scalability, and reliability). Supports the product team in the development of the technical design and documentation. Participates in proof of concepts and supports the product solution evaluation processes. Provides architecture guidance and technical design leadership. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills Required:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data architectures
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Data Flow, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Big Query, Vertex AI, and other related GCP services
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift / GKE
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, RAG Chatbot solutions
• Experience with designing high-availability, high-volume, low-latency technologies
• In-depth expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques, including data discovery, streaming analytics, and related technologies
• Ability to document technical solutions in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to perform hands-on POCs in GCP to meet customer demands
• Familiarity with Github, Terraform, and CI/CD

Skills Preferred:

• Familiar with ML technologies such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, XGBoost, and Python Notebooks
• Understands infrastructure architecture, including servers, SAN, networking, firewalls, database, and middleware
• Experience with Microservices and SPA application architecture
• Self-starter, ability to work independently but still can work within a group to deliver top-notch solutions
