To perform daily functions according to SOP's and build a quality part with efficiency.
Responsibilities /Duties/Functions /Tasks
* Strong knowledge of gel coat application techniques, materials, and curing processes
* Check temperature and calibrates system to set for drying time
* Check spray gun and lines for contamination and drains water from pressure regulator daily
* Check air pressure and adjusts for proper flow and break up
* Sprays gelcoat sample to check flow of catalyst and gelcoat pattern and makes adjustments if necessary
* Sprays gelcoat on mold, stopping regularly to check catalyst. Uses mill gauge to determine gelcoat uniformity and thickness
* Responsible for keeping equipment and tools clean and in proper working order and cleanliness of work area
* Ensure parts are prepped properly prior to spraying
* Follow procedures as written
* Follow safety rules
* Adhere to company policies
* Perform task in allotted time
* Handle chemicals properly. Storage and disposal
* Be a team player
* Take instruction from supervisor
* Efficient with materials to minimize waste
* Maintain equipment. Care and set up
* Maintain logs
* Fill out paperwork
* All other duties as might be required
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to follow build book
* Some dexterity
* Ability to work with others
Physical Demands:
* The ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 40lbs.
* Bending, lifting, twisting continuously throughout the day.
* Being able to stand/walk for a possible 8 plus hour workday.
