Position : General AssemblerLocation : Woburn, MADuration : 4 months contractTotal Hours/week : 40.00Description:Work hours Training on 1st shift 4am - noon (for a couple of weeks)****some knowledge or experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals industry. Not a lot of experience but some knowledge.****Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:Perform duties associated with the Avitene Bulk Flour and Web Processing in the Clean Room environment.Essential Job Functions:Listed below are the essential job functions for the primary responsibilities that a Avitene Bulk Flour/Web Operator working within Avitene Manufacturing will perform, however, at any time manufacturing demands may require the Operator to work on a different product line which would require him/her to perform any or all of the listed additional job functions.Stage chemicals and equipment's for compoundingSetup and operate all equipment including Brush washer, Centrifuge, Urschel Mill, Rotary Vacuum Dryer, Fitz mill, and Rando Webber.Perform in-line testing utilizing various measuring equipment, Hydrometers, Tachometers, Moisture AnalyzersWork independently in a clean area environment with minimal supervisionTrain others on work instructions as requiredWorking knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other regulatory/procedural requirements at all timesComplete all relevant Device History Records (DHR) as required, complying with Quality System requirementsVacuum, clean and sanitize rooms and equipment as requiredMaintain a good attendance and on-time record as outlined in the Attendance Guidelines for our facilityThe ability to work overtimeAdditional Manufacturing Job Functions:Assemble, inspect, and package devices per relevant operating proceduresOperate sealing machines and automated packaging equipmentClean and inspect components prior to assembly or final packaging as requiredNon-Essential Job Functions:Assist in the development and implementation of lean thinking programs throughout the facilityPerform other related duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Must be able to comprehend work instructions written in EnglishBasic Math SkillsPrior experience working in a manufacturing environmentAdditional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:Previous experience with chemical compounding & liquid filling preferred.Education and/or Experience:High School diploma or GED required2 or more years of experience working in a medical device/electronics assembly/packaging environment preferredComputer literacy is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyMust be able to wear a respirator if required.Must be able to sit, stand, move, twist and bend to operate, move and clean equipment and clean room(s)Work Environment:Clean Room or Manufacturing floorTraining Requirements:Training matrix: -WBALLEMPLOYEE1, WKLDIIStandard Operating Procedure (SOP) training will be provided upon hire.
