Job Description:

As a General Laborer in our mining equipment repair shop, you will be a crucial part of our team, supporting various tasks essential for maintaining and repairing mining equipment. While experience in sandblasting is a bonus, we're primarily seeking individuals who are not afraid to get dirty and are willing to learn and contribute to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general warehouse duties, including receiving, organizing, and storing materials and equipment.
  • Assist with the assembly and connection of hydraulic hose lines for mining equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move heavy parts and machinery within the shop.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Support inventory control by tracking and labeling parts, as well as conducting routine stock checks.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting tools, equipment, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in landscaping duties around the facility when needed, including mowing, trimming, and clearing debris.
  • Help load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment and performing job tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues or concerns.

Qualification:

  • Valid Driver's License: Required for operating company vehicles and transporting materials.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work on your feet for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Basic Mechanical Skills: Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in a shop environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow safety procedures and ensure accuracy in tasks.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work as part of a team and assist skilled technicians as needed.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of basic shop safety protocols, with the ability to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work varying shifts and overtime when required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic educational background is required.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
