General Maintenance 1 - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Assist in snow removal. Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas. Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, carpentry/hardware repairs, and mechanical equipment and systems. Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized. Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision. Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment. Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis. High school diploma or GED required. Trade school completion preferred. Military experience considered.
