GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER/ERT - City of Clovis New Mexico : Job Details

This is an entry level position to keep Clovis environmentally clean by means of mowing, weed cutting, spraying, sand blasting and blown-trash collection within the city limit. This position has been classified as a safety sensitive position and is subject to our drug testing policy to include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident for the following prohibited substances: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), and cocaine, as well as any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Typical Duties Takes assignments from the Team Leader and prepares appropriate equipment for the task. Operates light equipment such as riding mower, push mower, weed eater, sand blaster, pressure washer, as well as some hand tools such as shovels, pitchforks, rakes, etc. to clean up the environmental trouble spots.
