Scope of Work: The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Responsibilities:
- Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repairing or replacing faucets and /drain assemblies, water coolers, and toilets.
- Painting structures and equipment.
- Pressure washing.
- Gutter cleaning.
- Replacing damaged paneling and floor/ceiling tiles.
- Hanging doors and installing door locks.
- Replacing broken windowpanes.
- Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Will be required to be on a rotating after hours on call schedule.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Completes all training within required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Must be willing to be on a rotating after hours on-call schedule.
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment.
- Strong work ethic.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must have knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Duties will require frequent periods of bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and reaching above shoulder level, and kneeling. Occasionally require periods of crawling and climbing.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test, criminal record check, and motor vehicle check.
