General Maintenance Worker- UtilitiesLocation: Fort Leonard Wood, MOEmployment Class: Full-Time FLSA Classification: ExemptPosition Summary:Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) seeks a full-time General Maintenance Worker. The General Maintenance Worker assists the Boiler Technicians as he tends, inspects, and maintains one or more boilers to produce steam or high temperature water for use in a building. **Position is contingent upon award of contract. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and tends one or more boilers to produce steam or high-temperature water for use in an establishment.
- Tends centrifugal chillers and Fires boiler.
- Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters, charts which register various aspects of boiler operations.
- Adjusts controls to ensure safe and efficient boiler operation and to meet demands for steam or high-temperature water.
- May also do one or more of the following: Maintain a log in which various aspects of boiler operation are recorded; clean oil, make minor repairs or assist in repair to boiler room equipment; and following prescribed methods, treat boiler water with chemicals and analyze boiler water for such things as acidity, causticity, and alkalinity.
- Employees are required to drive company owned vehicles on a Federal Installation.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Experience Requirements: • Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience. • High School Diploma or GED • Must be qualified to wear a respirator. • Must have a safe driving record within the past three years and must maintain a valid driver's license. • Excellent communication and organizations skills • Must be a solid forward thinker Additional Requirements • • Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport • • Selected candidate subject to background check Advancia Government Services (AGS) is an equal opportunity employer.
