General Manager Aerospace & Defense

(Greater Phoenix, Arizona)

Our client is a global, contract manufacturing company, seeking to hire a General Manager for its expanding facility based in Greater Phoenix, Arizona. The company provides contract manufacturing services for multiple industries, including the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Key Responsibilities

§ Manage a large site (>200 employees) with an annual revenue of >$150M USD.

§ Manage the site in a manner that reduces operating costs, increases revenues, and exceeds customer expectations.

§ Pursue new customers and business expansions opportunities.

§ Support corporate and senior staff in establishing policies and procedures and ensure implementation at the site.

§ Lead management and support staff in a collaborative environment to continuously improve site performance in velocity, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.

§ Provide leadership and direction in the site's Lean Sigma program to corporate goals and objectives to increase value stream transformation.

Management Qualifications

· Demonstrated leadership and people management skills including ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels.

· Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with multi-cultural experience.

· Demonstrates effective customer interface skills.

· Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.

· Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building and project management.

Individual Qualifications

§ Experience (> 10 years) in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

§ Experience in operations management in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry.

§ Experience in contract manufacturing.

§ Expertise in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).

§ Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

§ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University. Master's Degree preferred.

§ Extensive experience in developing customer relationships.

§ Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of manufacturing operation.

§ Ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
