Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the nightclub, ensuring it runs efficiently and profitably while providing the highest standard of experience for our clients. The General Manager's duties include managing all aspects of the club's daily operations, such as staff management, customer service, financial performance, marketing strategies, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Responsibilities :

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue.
  • Ensure the venue is adequately staffed and that all equipment and facilities are in optimal condition.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards, which all managers and staff must follow.
  • Ensure monthly liquor levels are maintained and participate in monthly inventory reconciliations with Senior Management.
  • Ensure frequent communication with Senior Management regarding major occurrences at the venue.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage staff, including bartenders, security personnel, waitstaff, DJs, and other employees.
  • Schedule shifts and monitor payrolls for independent contractors.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, set performance expectations, and provide regular feedback.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming and safe atmosphere.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback efficiently, including social media reviews.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Financial Management:

  • Manage monthly budgets, financial reports, and business plans to achieve sales goals set by Senior Management.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and conduct cost control for food and beverages.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Work in conjunction with the Marketing Team to ensure all private events, catering, and client requirements are well-organized and implemented.
  • Coordinate events, promotions, and special nights to boost attendance.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and effectively utilize our website, social media platforms, and public relations.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding health, safety, and labor laws.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the club.
  • Coordinate with security staff to ensure a safe environment for patrons and employees.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage inventory of beverages, supplies, and other essentials.
  • Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Community Relations:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, businesses, and authorities.
  • Represent the club at industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the entertainment industry is required
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or nightlife industry is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in fine dining restaurants is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of legal regulations related to the nightclub industry
  • Proficiency in using management software and MS Office Suite

Work Environment/Required Skills/Physical Demand:

  • The role requires evening, night, and weekend hours as per the operation hours and nature of the business.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic environment with high interaction with staff and patrons.
  • Exposure to loud music and crowds, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume.
  • Must be able to read computer screens and work efficiently with reservation/booking systems.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move quickly in work environment and have a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 50 lbs.
