Restaurateur & Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser is looking for a talented **General Manager** to join the JF Restaurants team at North Fork Table & Inn, his New American restaurant, housed in a historic countryside home in the North Fork of Long Island. Restaurateur & Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser and his teamhave revitalized the historic property and reimagined the dining experience, while staying true to the ethos he shares with founding owners. As a longstanding champion of farm-to-table philosophy, it has been John's dream to open a restaurant on the North Fork, surrounded by farms, vineyards and fisheries.

**Essential Job Function:**

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the front-of-house operations and employees in accordance with company policies and procedures and works concurrently with the Chef de Cuisine ensuring a successful operation. Interacts with the dining room guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

**Core responsibilities include but not limited to:**

Develop and Maintain

* Service Training

* Floor Leadership

* Profitability of Business Unit

* Manager & Exempt Employee Development

* Hourly Employee Development

* Manage day to day operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision making, employee support, guest interaction, scheduling, payroll, planning while upholding standards, food quality and cleanliness

* Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements

* Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with guests

* Maintain safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; and reporting issues to appropriate stakeholders

* Oversee all disciplinary action related to hourly and exempt employees, and liaise with HR Director in making personnel decisions in support of JF Restaurants culture and mission statement guidelines

* Review schedules & payroll

* Employee tracking and management

* Provide attentiveness and excellent service to VIP guests

* Prepare and execute daily pre-shifts

* Review daily minutes from service and create plans for growth and improvement

* Advise executive management on any negative developing trends, along with action plan

**Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 3-4+ years of relevant experience working as a General Manager or similar capacity, within a high volume upscale, fine dining restaurant or luxury restaurant

* Excellent financial acumen

* Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

* Open availability

* Certification in NYC Food Protection License
