General Manager - Metro Building Services LLC : Job Details

Metro BuildingServices is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager tolead our Service Department operations in Hammond, LA! The General Manager will be responsible foroverseeing all aspects of the service department including customer relations,technician management, and inventory control, all while ensuring profitability. Main Responsibilities: Customer Relations:

• Develop new customer leads and actively pursue growth opportunities in the Hammond area
• Manage customer inquiries, address complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service
• Promote the company's services through marketing and sales initiatives
• Review preventive maintenance sheets, quote repairs, and send to customers

Technician Management:

• Oversee technician workforce including hiring, training, performance reviews, and fostering a positive team environment
• Promote safety practices and ensure technicians follow all safety protocols
• Manage service managers, lead technicians, field supervisors, and office staff

Operations Management:

• Review work orders and invoices weekly to ensure accurate and timely billing
• Manage fleet including GPS monitoring, vehicle appearance, and truck assignments
• Control inventory levels for tools, equipment, and parts to meet department needs
• Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability and minimize waste

• Assist in determining appropriate labor rates and pricing for services
• Assess reports to identify additional revenue opportunities

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in business management, preferably in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical or construction industries
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Proficient with computer programs and technology
• Results-driven with a focus on profitability and business growth
• Knowledge of sales, marketing, and business development principles
