Kato Moving & Storage is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced General Manager to lead our team and oversee all operations in Mankato, MN. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the moving and storage company, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, drivers, movers, and office staff.Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met and maintained.Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.Operational Efficiency:
Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.Manage fleet maintenance and logistics to ensure timely and safe service delivery.Financial Management:
Develop and manage the branch budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses.Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.Sales and Marketing:
Oversee the sales team and support business development initiatives.Implement local marketing campaigns to promote services and attract new customers.Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry partners.Human Resources:
Recruit, train, and retain high-quality staff.Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.Ensure compliance with employment laws and company HR policies.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the moving or logistics industry.Proven track record of successfully managing a team and improving operational efficiency.Skills:
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with logistics management software.What We Offer:
