Job Description :

Surfsand Resort, Oregon coast's premier ocean front resort in Cannon Beach is currently seeking a General Manager to join our team.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel and adjacent restaurant Wayfarer with a strong emphasis on sales, financial management, employee development and training, and quality assurance. Your main goal will be to establish and maintain a positive environment to meet or exceed guest expectations. This is a leadership role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of the hotel and food operation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by achieving performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction, and effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Maintain a high-quality product to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maximize room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts, developing and monitoring strategic marketing prospects, implementing annual business and marketing plans, and participating in national marketing efforts.
  • Build and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community.
  • Oversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
  • Maintain a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration, and compliance with policies, procedures, and labor regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of financial and operational plans for the hotel, supporting the overall objectives of the corporation.
  • Develop the annual budget and make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent 5+ years of related hotel and management experience are required.
  • Independent hotel experience and an understanding of the life at the Oregon coast preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and computer skills will be required.
  • Proven track record of service and financial success.
