Job Description :
Galaxy Group is looking to add a General Manager to our growing team working out of our Winfield, Kansas facility. As the General Manager of our precision machine shop, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, ensuring the highest standards of production efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a talented and dedicated team, drive strategic business initiatives, develop, manage and institute processes within our business system, and optimize resources to achieve business goals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to the team, providing a positive and productive work environment. Manage and mentor department heads and staff, including production, quality control, customer service and sales personnel, to achieve company goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards maintained.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures. Collaborate with the Finance Team to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Resource Management: Optimize and/or implement the use of resources, including our business system, personnel, equipment and materials, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Customer Relations: Manage and maintain strong relationships with key customers as well as the internal customer service staff. Ensure needs are met and address concerns promptly and effectively while achieving business goals.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, with a minimum 4years of experience in a leadership role.
    • Must have prior experience in managing safety, quality and on time deliveries metrics.
    • Previous experience in a machining production environment, particularly in businesses that manufacture a wide variety of parts in low-volume quantities.
