Recommend and/or implement operations directives to guide the facility in maintaining and improving the competitive position and profitability through subordinate supervisors and managers. Direct and implement plans for the control of safety, environment compliance, planned outputs, CAPEX and Operational budgeted spending, labor efficiency, engineering effectiveness, facility/equipment maintenance and reliability, warehousing management effectiveness, labor relations, and employee utilization. Through delegation of responsibility and assignment of duties to managers and supervisors, achieve efficient and economical operation of the facility, conforming with the established goals and objectives to accomplish profit, growth and investment return.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversight: Plan, direct and coordinate facility operations with the appropriate organizational and customer stakeholders.
  • Strategy: Engage in all strategic facility operations discussions with Director-Evap Operations relating to, but not limited to, safety, environment, manufacturing planning, reliability, footprint optimization, capital investment, distribution plans, quality, personnel, labor relations and information systems.
  • Financial: Develop annual Facility operations budget and long-range plans. Monitor performance relative to established plans and budgets while providing guidance to meet established plans.
  • CAPEX: Develop annual CAPEX budget and long-range investment plans. Monitor performance and execution relative to established plans and budgets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Improve Facility operations efficiency and reduce costs through analysis of production methods, processes, and optimum utilization of personnel.
  • Production: Establish plans and coordinate resources to manufacture budgeted products at forecasted volumes while monitoring execution. Optimize inventory levels of product to minimize working capital requirements at the Facility. Establish and maintain estimates of production, shipments and inventories.
  • Security: Implement and communicate procedures and security standards to ensure constant protection of evaporation employees, facilities and equipment against hazards.
  • Maintenance and Reliability: Oversee efficient and cost-effective buildings, grounds, equipment maintenance and reliability activities.
  • People:Direct Facility management activities including selection of key employees, training, career development, motivation, salary administration and disciplinary actions for subordinate personnel. Maintain and support prescribed programs of employee relations, health and safety, training and development, and compensation and benefits for all Facility personnel.
  • Technology: Stay current in operations trends and developments for application in the facilities. Recommend, develop and/or implement changes in policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Safety: Ensure a maximum level of safety inside and outside the Facility. Maintain and support prescribed programs while recommending and/or implement policies to continuously improve and maintain employee safety.
  • Quality: Maintain and support prescribed programs while recommending and/or implement policies to continuously improve and maintain product quality.
  • Environment and Sustainability: Maintain and support prescribed programs while recommending and/or implement policies to continuously improve and maintain environmental performance, compliance and sustainability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Direct Facility personnel to ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements including Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering (Master's Degree preferred); other related technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years manufacturing or mining experience, including a minimum of five (5) years Mining/Production/Technical/ Maintenance management experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of site management experience is preferred.
