Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our physical security operations, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional business acumen, and a deep understanding of the security industry.
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations of the physical security division, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate operational performance, addressing any issues promptly.
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review service performance and address any concerns.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and client expansion.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development programs to ensure a skilled and capable workforce.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for financial efficiency.
Sales and Business Development:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the client base and revenue.
- Participate in sales presentations and negotiations with potential clients.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee security risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging threats.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Security Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the security industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful operational management and client relationship development.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Proficiency with security management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
