The General Manager is an experienced Manufacturing Executive who improves efficiency and increases profits through the strategic and tactical direction of the production team. - Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
- Develop and direct the management of the company's fulfillment/distribution center that will ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping direct to customers, and effective processing of returns.
- Manage logistics, outbound transportation processes, and negotiate parcel freight programs.
- Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
- Develop and direct the management of the customer call center to ensure customer satisfaction, improved call efficiency, low abandonment, increased revenue through promotional programs, and improved employee product knowledge and training.
- Implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues.
- Ensure that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance, and utilization.
- Select and maintain order management systems, data warehousing, e-commerce infrastructure, and manage web development.
- Oversee all company telecommunication systems and support.
- Ensure that the company is migrated toward technology offerings that will generate higher efficiency, enhanced reporting and tracking capabilities, and substantial ROI.
- Interact regularly with the executive team and individual department heads to ensure that the company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
- Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to the President for consideration.
- Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency.
- Actively interact with Inventory Management and Product availability.
- Cash management; overseeing daily duties of accounting functions.
- Familiarity with multi-state sales tax; ensuring licenses are in place and up to date.
- Actively engaged in creating new business.
- Ability to help prioritize projects.
- Ability to hold people accountable; manage various personalities and departments.
- Oversee all company activities - Hands-on.Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Critical thinker with excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
- High energy level, positive, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to lift 40lbs to 50lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency.Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience managing a distribution center.
- Familiar with GMP.
