The weather in south Alabama is warm year-round.Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our manufacturing company specializing in cast iron products. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and overall business success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.Job Duties:Oversee plant operations, ensuring efficient production and quality control.Lead and coordinate teams of multi-disciplined salaried and hourly personnel.Develop, design, and implement new metrics and reports for production and process control.Ensure employees meet performance objectives and develop high-potential employees for succession planning.Manage full P&L responsibility, including forecasting and maintaining operational and capital budgets.Communicate effectively with employees and corporate management.Understand and comply with environmental testing, permitting, reporting, and OSHA requirements.Qualifications:Candidates should have a four-year college degree in industrial management, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or 15-20 years of experience in a foundry atmosphere with at least five years in upper management, including P&L responsibility.
