The General Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the hotel. They will lead, supervise, and direct the operations of the hotel and its departments.Responsibilities include:Motivating and serving as the property leader at the hotel and to the corporate offices and owners.Managing and motivating all front office and guest services personnel with daily supervision, including staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, payroll, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards for guest satisfaction.Checking and controlling room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting, and department budget to maximize revenue.Compiling and preparing financial reports, including rate and availability calendar.Communicating with guests and associates both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff.Organizing, conducting, and/or attending meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.Working directly with department managers to ensure a seamless workflow on a daily basis.Conducting staff and employee meetings, participating in mandatory training, and ensuring implementation in sales and marketing programs.Maintaining any capital improvements projects and renovations as dictated by the brand standards.Preparing and submitting operational results to the corporate office and ownership on a weekly basis.Preparing and making daily deposits, complying with all corporate accounting procedures, and completing random guest-registry audits to assure accuracy and completeness.Maintaining key control and loss prevention programs, ensuring that all procedures, federal and state policies are followed, and reporting aged open accounts to the Support Office Accounting Department.Aiding Human Resources in timekeeping, hiring, and terminating employees, resolving problems, and providing open communication.Handling any other requests from the Corporate Office.Qualifications:Previous work experience with the Marriott system.Previous Front Desk Manager or Manager on Duty job experience.Food and Beverage experience preferred.Great personality for higher guest services and better working experience with the Front Desk staff.Able to work evenings and weekends.Proficient in computer knowledge with advanced computer skills required.Experience with hotel information systems required.Additional Details:Job Available: ImmediatelyBonus Plan: YesWork Permit Needed: Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in the United States will not be considered.Other:Medical, Dental, Vision, LifeBonus Accommodation: NoManagement Position: YesEntry Level Position: NoIndustry Categories: Hotel/ResortPosition Categories: Hotel Manager - General ManagerBackground check is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
