Job DescriptionThe TownePlace Suites by Marriott - Estero/Fort Myers (Via Coconut Pt), managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a DRIVEN General Manager.

The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that all departments are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Manage and motivate staff to provide exceptional customer service
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that all employees are informed and up-to-date on hotel policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
