General Manager - National Glass Industries : Job Details

National Glass Industries, INC. is hiring for the position of General Manager. This role will oversee all staff, budgets, and operations for both locations which are in Woodinville, WA (Re-locating to Burlington, WA in April 2025) and Portland, OR. The position is an in-person role with regular travel between locations and supporting sales activities. The role can be based out of either the Portland or Burlington location. The person in this role is expected to support growth in current sales and lead the organization in expanding into new product sectors.

National Glass is a distributor of flat glass products such as clear glass, laminated glass, mirror and pattern glass as well as a supplier of all types of fabricated glass products. Such as tempered, insulated glass, and custom fabricated edgework.

National Glass is also able to source the more unique and specialized types of glass products for the architectural and residential markets from various Domestic and Offshore sources. National Glass is also a regional distributor for Cox door products. Including Glass Room Dividers, Mirrored Closet Doors, Pocket Door frames, and Barn Door frames.

Responsibilities

· Design strategy and set goals for growth

· Maintain budgets and optimize expenses

· Oversee day-to-day operations

· Identify new markets

· Set policies and processes

· Work with Plant Managers in achieving quality and service benchmarks

· Manage sales staff

· Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance

· Direct the employee assessment process

· Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Skills

· Proven experience in a General Manager or Sales Manager role

· Experience in glass, other building material, or distribution industry

· Experience in planning and budgeting

· Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

· Strong analytical ability

· Excellent communication skills

· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

· Problem-solving aptitude
