General Manager/Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Coordinator - Men's Basketball Long Island University (LIU), an NCAA DI institution, is seeking a Men's Basketball General Manager/Name Image Likeness (NIL) Coordinator. The General Manager/NIL Coordinator is a member of the LIU men's basketball staff and reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach. This role facilitates the prospecting and analysis of corporate and community partnerships while providing education and advisement related to men's basketball student-athlete endorsement sponsorships and partnerships. This position works closely with university staff and is responsible for maintaining contact with all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include interpreting and adhering to state, federal as well as institutional, conference and NCAA policies, rules and regulations. This position is based on the Long Island University Brooklyn campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include working with internal stakeholders to develop a working plan for creating, securing, and implementing NIL resources for student-athletes and staff.
Meet regularly with men's basketball coaches, staff, student-athletes, university administration, and NIL liaisons to secure NIL resources and implement NIL strategy.
Develop and execute fundraising, corporate and community sponsorship, marketing, and promotional plans for the men's basketball program.
Collaborate with internal units to develop and facilitate NIL education for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
Enhance student-athlete career, mentoring, development, and sponsorship opportunities in concert with the implementation of NIL strategies.
Host alumni, community, and donor events in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
Familiarity with the operation and administration of a college basketball program. A proven track record of developing comprehensive revenue strategies, marketing and promotional plans, communications/digital marketing, and sales strategies execution from concept through implementation and measurement. Previous experience managing special events. Self-motivated and able to multitask/manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including game nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in a related field.
Work Schedule:
Requires the ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and some holidays.
