Job Overview:

The General Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the vending and refreshment services in Houston. They will ensure efficient and effective management of all operational aspects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The General Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing staff, and driving the company's growth and profitability within the Houston market. This position requires a hands-on approach and involves physical aspects, such as visiting vending machine locations and interacting with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the company, including vending machine placements, maintenance, inventory management, logistics, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to align operational strategies with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage and lead a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Present operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the vending and refreshment service industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.

Working Conditions:

The General Operations Manager will work in an office and frequently visit vending machine sites, interacting daily with clients and suppliers. This proactive role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional travel and flexible working hours may be required to meet operational demands.
