Responsibilities:Management and leadership responsibility in coordination with responsible managers/associates in the following areas:Production SchedulingInventory Planning Material Planning/ProcurementManagement and leadership responsibility in coordination with responsible managers/associates in the following areas:ShippingReceivingMaterial HandlingGeneralDesign/implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and/or cost reduction strategies.Examine material variances, resolve problems, and escalate appropriate issues for assistance to management.Participate in identifying root cause and corrective actions to improve processes and meet plant objectives. Oversee compliance with customer requirements and outside audit requirements.Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, and evaluate performance.Review and implement department budget objectives to ensure compliance.Manage appropriate supply chain metrics to meet plant/company objectives and targets.Motivate and manage production control team's activities to accomplish departmental and plant goals and objectives.Participate in ongoing performance management activities including, but not limited, to evaluations and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirementsEducation:Four-year degree in Business, Management or related field, or equivalent experience.Preferred APICS/CPIM certification.Experience:6-10 years of prior production planning and material management in a plastic manufacturing or similar environment.6-10 years of previous management experience required.Understanding of supply chain management principles.Skills:Ability to exhibit organizational, interpersonal and mathematical skill level sets to successfully meet the requirements and expectations of this positionExhibit appropriate leadership skills to motivate and encourage associate performance Familiarity with related software applications, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint....etc.Ability to travel as required. Work Environment This job operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The performance of this position will also require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
