The General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and sales of the branch. In addition to setting individual and branch sales goals, this individual will facilitate the sales team's success by setting the direction for the branch, training, coaching, communicating, helping them build their businesses, and removing obstacles to their success. Responsibilities:
- Directly manages the branch, including sales, rentals, and service.
- Facilitates the success of the branch by setting a direction, establishing goals and conducting meetings to ensure the success and alignment of the team.
- Builds new business and grows existing business and customer relationships.
- Conducts one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Participate in ride alongs with all sales representatives.
- Works closely with internal and external BearCom departments to develop new sales opportunities, point out possible process improvements, establish and maintain effective relationships with outside vendors, ensure customer care, etc.
- Works closely with the Regional Director by offering timely communication, sales forecasts and reporting, and strategic direction.
- Responsible for meeting monthly and quarterly goals.
- Directly interfaces with the Rental Department to provide support, rental opportunities, and effective interaction with the sales team.
- Uphold BearCom's values and business ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in business to business technology sales ( preferably wireless ) with 5+ years of sales management experience.
- A proven track record of building a team (hiring, training, developing)
- The ability to effectively attract, develop, coach, and motivate the branch.
- The ability and desire to consistently communicate to the sales team and other interdependent departments. Should be an impact and influential presenter, negotiator, and communicator.
- The ability to adapt to various situations, demands, or organizational needs. Must have the interpersonal and work style flexibility to handle multiple priorities and remain stress tolerant.
- The capacity to team with sales people and other managers as well as build relationships across the organization.
- Must be effective in dealing with customers to create win/win situations with them and employees.
- A clear thinker who uses objectivity, experience, and analysis to make decisions.
- Have the ability to see the bigger picture and set a direction for the branch. Must have the ability to plan, budget, forecast, and evaluate the market.
- The ideal candidate will have the raw drive and energy to be highly self-motivated as well as promote urgency and results throughout the branch.
- Ability to work effectively without close supervision.
- Marketing experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards software is helpful.
- Ability to provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19 virus, unless a medical or religious exemption applies.
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, this may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
