General Manager, Warehouse Operations - Pactiv Evergreen : Job Details

The General Manager (GM) for the distribution facility oversees all aspects of center operations, including strategic planning, financial performance, process optimization, and employee development. This role integrates operational excellence with corporate objectives, aligning resources to meet customer demands and foster innovation through digital transformation. The GM reports to the Regional Operations Director and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve logistics and organizational goals.

• Manage site financials, provide monthly cost forecasts, understand site variances, inform stakeholders of site financial performance.
• Provide leadership & employee engagement for all employees at the facility.
• Ensure the facility has appropriate staffing to execute the operations plan.
• Ensure safety in the workspace by conducting safety audits & safety observations, document and address root causes of incidents and near misses, and encourage a safety-oriented culture throughout the facility.
• Partner with Supply Chain Planning Manager to ensure efficient execution of the operations plan.
• Provide leadership and input in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
• Understand the cost drivers at the site, and work to minimize and reduce costs without sacrificing quality or customer deliveries.
• Act as a point of escalation for any problems, issues, or adjustments required to complete the operations plan and ensure on-time customer shipments.
• Monitor site KPIs and work with the team to resolve any shortfalls and create corrective actions.
• Serve as a liaison to senior leadership, manufacturing facility, & corporate support staff.
• Drive innovation and Continuous Improvement at the site, championing Change Management to support operational improvements.
• Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports.

• BA/BS degree Required.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of multi-function supply chain experience.
• Significant experience with supply chain analytical work.
• Experience presenting and recommending solutions to business leaders.
• Warehouse operations management experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail business process knowledge ideally in current 10+ years of multi-function supply chain experience.
• Ability to gain consensus across multi-functional areas.
• Capability to work closely with Pactiv personnel at all levels.
• Flexible with dealing with change.
• Experience in LES and SAP systems.

The compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $146,300-$243,900.
