General Production Worker - Aerotek : Job Details

ResponsibilitiesRespect and enforce safety, quality, and environmental policies.Learn all bottom jobs within a department.Bring raw materials to the machine, including cores, skids, blocks, and other necessary items to maintain operations.Move product around the mill using hand trucks and clamp trucks.Assist other operators with making splices and threading winders.Learn how to perform jobs safely and efficiently.Monitor product quality at every operation.Assist with moving, weighing, taping, and labeling product.Perform cleanup duties for machine breaks or standard daily cleanups.Assist with threading of machines.Involve in simple mechanical tasks including rope installation and lubrication duties.Assist with rewinding, sheeting, and wrapping operations.Clean up broke generated by machines and recycle back into the process.Do what is necessary to keep operations running safely and efficiently.Essential SkillsAbility to interpret a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.High school diploma or equivalent.1-5 years of related experience in production, preferably in the manufacturing industry.SHIFTBe prepared for a rotating schedule, with shifts from 7 am-3 pm, 3 pm-11 pm, and 11 pm-7 am. Candidates must be comfortable working 21 straight days initially and be prepared for 7-day work weeks, though some departments operate on a 6-day schedule.
