General Project Manager
Location: Devens, MA
Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months (high possibility of extension)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Business Hours
Summary
The BD Lab Operations Project Manager will oversee the successful planning and completion of several ongoing strategic initiatives and projects. This role will monitor project progress and perform outreach to drive engagement with various stakeholder groups.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Support:
- Work with the Lab Operations Lead to coordinate day-to-day activities of multiple projects.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, key metrics, budgets, expenditures, and project records systems.
- Direct stakeholder communication (oral and written).
- Provide administrative support as needed.
Project Management:
- Coordinate the safety and lab operations team to harmonize processes and procedures across all three sites.
- Manage other projects requiring oversight.
Team Coordination:
- Provide proactive project support: schedule meetings, develop agendas, distribute materials, capture minutes, track assignments, and request updates for assigned projects and steering committees.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
- Knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, or similar project management software.
Experience and Requirements
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 2+ years in a role with a biotech, operations, pharmaceutical, or facilities focus.
- Intermediate level experience with MS Office, Smartsheet, or similar project management software.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, activities, and/or events.
Education Requirement
- Minimum of an Associate degree in project management, business, or a relevant field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work Environment
- Combination of office environment (desk work) and interacting with stakeholders in the manufacturing environment.
