Responsibilities The General Superintendent will lead all field operations for a large-scale, ground-up residential project with a commitment to quality and safe construction processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily onsite field operations, managing construction activities, third-party vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by overseeing approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Collaborate with internal Project Managers, Design Managers, and Developers.
- Drive the construction document coordination phase and review document packages for procurement, developing detailed scopes of work.
- Help formulate, maintain, and execute the project schedule.
- Manage the permit process with expeditors, DOB, MTA, and related governmental requirements.
- Lead jobsite foreman's meetings.
Compensation
- $175,000 - $200,000+ / year
- Annual performance based bonus
Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience, preferably in ground up residential construction.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experienced with Super's license, OSHA 30, and Procore.
- A mature professional with excellent judgment and intuitive interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communications skills - written and verbal.
- A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
