Summary

Our Warehouse Maintenance Associates play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. Working as a team is a critical part of this position's success. This position will help repair and maintain equipment as well as cover duties assigned to general facilities maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain restoration and other company equipment by completing minor repairs (and necessary paperwork) to company equipment inclusive of (but not limited to) pallet jacks, forklifts, ride-on jacks, etc.
  • Maintain warehouse (and office) lights, doors, and fire extinguishers ensuring functionality and organizing 3rd party repairs with the Health and Safety
  • Call for dumpster removal and replacement at the warehouse when full.
  • Order, maintain, organize, and issue inventory of approved supplies and company equipment.
  • Prepare and review reports for equipment and consumable tracking.
  • Assist with repositioning, loading, and unloading of equipment and content for restoration, storage, and return to job sites as required.
  • Deliver and pick up materials as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
  • Ensure attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information.
  • Will always practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
  • Comply with all Columbia Distributing's policies and procedures.
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting the completion of the job to the appropriate person.

Work will be performed mostly indoors and outdoors, when necessary.

  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 165 lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
  • Climb stairs/ladder occasionally.
  • Operate equipment.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary and may include weekends and overtime.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in a warehouse, with logistics or material handling
  • High school diploma or GED

Compensation

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
