With over a century in the Public infrastructure, Consulting and Engineering Industry, our client is a award winning multi-disciplined consulting firm with a footprint across 60+ different office locations, and growing!

They have a current opportunity for a Georgia Water Business Team Lead on a permanent basis in their Atlanta office location. The position can be Hybrid/Remote.

Responsibilities will include managing a variety of projects within:

  • Water and Wastewater treatment plants
  • Water distribution systems, including pumping and storage
  • Wastewater collection systems, including pumping and storage
  • Regional water supply planning

The ideal candidate will be driven to develop a water business in Georgia, possessing strong client relationships and aiming to expand this network. Responsibilities will vary in scale and evolve over time, but generally entail:

  • Leading business development efforts, directly engaging with clients
  • Developing a business and financial strategy for the Georgia Water Services market
  • Collaborating with the companies proposal team to pursue significant revenue-generating projects
  • Overseeing the recruitment of Project Managers to support the business plan execution
  • Managing project delivery with a focus on risk management and profitability
  • Additionally, the candidate should have the technical expertise to serve as a project leader and advisor on water and wastewater projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for expanding client relationships and building a Water Business Line practice, potentially including opening and managing a new office
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering
  • 9+ years of relevant technical experience in the water sector, including at least 3 years in project or team leadership roles
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia
  • Previous experience overseeing designs for water and wastewater projects, including detailed plans and specifications
  • Strong grasp of interdisciplinary practices essential for implementing water and wastewater infrastructure improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
