Infosys is seeking a Geoscience Data Consultant -In this role, you will interface with key stakeholders of the GandG domain and apply your technical, product and domain proficiency in supporting Upstream oil and gas data management activities and associated workflows. You will be actively working with Subsurface users to acquire, curate, QC check, load and archive various data types. Also, you will be involved in troubleshooting issues on workflows, licenses, data. Collaborating with stakeholders to define standards and guidelines and following them during the day-to-day operations is an integral part of the role. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology Experience working with one or more GandG Data Management tools such as ProSource, Petrel Studio, OpenWorks Experience in data standards and data lifecycle procedures Preferred Qualifications: Strong background and understanding of Geoscience Data (Well Headers and Surveys, Borehole Data etc) Working experience on subsurface data management workflows and data loading Work with Business Team and Records Management team on procurement of new data packets, cataloguing of the data Engage with Data Management and Business stakeholders for mastering GandG data into system of reference. Work with data platform vendor on process improvements and optimization for overall geoscience data management workflows Extract and loading of subsurface data into technical application such as Studio and OpenWorks Actively contribute towards establishing standards, procedures and protocols for data management (naming conventions, QC process etc) Keep the project planning workbooks up to date, publish periodic reports to stakeholders including metrics Support business team to assess new data, attribute analysis and creating meaningful inferences Continuous engagement with stakeholders in defining and refining acceptance levels of data quality and standards, controls for access , backup and security Exposure to working in cloud environment Azure Development Exposure in various upstream products Ready to travel to client locations as needed. Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
