Geospatial Analyst - IBR (Imagine Believe Realize) : Job Details

The Geospatial Analyst must be able to meet the key criteria below:

Location: Must be onsite in Melbourne, FL

Years' Experience: 3+ years

Education: Bachelors or equivalent experience as a Geospatial Analyst/Technician

Clearance: Must currently have an Active Secret Clearance

Work Authorization: Must be a United States Citizen

Key Skills:

• Experience manipulating digital images and generating Controlled Image Base (CIB) products
• Working knowledge of industry-standard geospatial software tools preferred (e.g., SOCET Set, SOCET GXP, ERDAS IMAGINE, Harris ENVI, etc).
• Direct experience with AMSD and image processing is required.

Overview

As a Geospatial Analyst at IBR, you will work in a production environment, responsible for performing image processing tasks to meet customer specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process digital satellite/image data to generate Adjusted Mapping Support Data (AMSD) files that meet customer requirements
• Understand and utilize established image production processes
• Exercise good judgement regarding data quality and project criteria and to be to recognize and identify image anomalies associated with digital imagery
• Deliver a high volume of products to meet customer requirements on a monthly basis
• Follow written and verbal directions, and work in a close team environment
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience manipulating digital images
• Must have basic understanding of DMS and decimal coordinate systems
• Working knowledge of industry-standard geospatial software tools preferred (e.g., SOCET Set, SOCET GXP, ERDAS IMAGINE, Harris ENVI, etc).
• Experience with remotely sensed data and image processing
• Knowledge of triangulation and ground control point concepts is a plus
• Experience with government satellite imagery and stereo imagery is a plus
• Computer competency in Windows environment. Familiarity with Linux or UNIX operating systems also helpful.
