• Hillis-Carnes is actively seeking a Geotechnical Drill Helper for our State College, PA office. Loading, transporting, and unloading drilling/construction equipment. Once equipment has been delivered to the projects, assist with general specialty geotechnical construction activities and geotechnical drilling, primarily labor, and driving of equipment. Assist the geotechnical driller in daily field drilling operations consisting of hollow stem auger and casing advance drilling, split spoon and shelby tube sampling, rock coring, and mixing and installing grout materials in completed borings as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Class C License however, CDL Class A or B license is a plus.
• Must be able to work out of town for extended periods of time on projects
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift and carry 100 lbs.
• Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma/GED
• Must be able to prioritize duties on a daily basis
• Strong work ethic/team player attitude
• Typical work day is Monday Friday. However, additional hours and/or Saturdays may be necessary.
