Details Client NameGeneva General Hospital Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyER Job ID29339928 Job TitleGGH Level 2 RN ED - Full Time Weekly Pay$2290.0 Shift Details ShiftDNR - 12X3 - 07,19 Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date10/28/2024 End Date01/25/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Level 2 - Emergency Department Job Specialty: Acute Care - Emergency Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation (7 a.m. - 7 p.m. / 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), Full-Time, 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years serving in an Emergency Room environment as a Registered Nurse License: RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to be on assignment until 1/19; Flexibility with holidays, as holiday Requests for Time Off (RTO) cannot be accommodated Job Description: - Apply nursing theory, technical skills, and communication expertise to deliver high-quality care to patients and families.- Assess patient needs, prioritize care, and provide direct care through appropriate interventions while evaluating patient progress.- Utilize skill in both invasive and non-invasive procedures to manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations.- Foster a relationship-based care approach to alleviate anxiety, provide information, and address pain, discomfort, and safety.- Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients from all age groups, along with their families and support systems.- Engage with patients and families during triage, address comfort needs, establish rapport, and provide frequent updates.- Conduct primary assessments and detect any major deviations from the norm, identifying necessary steps/interventions.- Conduct secondary assessments, identifying contributing factors and health history, and document/report any suspicion of domestic violence or abuse.- Reassess the patient to identify treatment response or changes in condition, and respond appropriately.- Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.- Educate and delegate tasks and interventions consistent with individual education, training, and scope of practice.- Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments, making referrals for post-emergency care as appropriate.- Educate patients for continued care/healing at home, assessing their learning styles and evaluating retention of key points.- Prioritize understanding what is most important to the patient and family, acknowledging their central role in care and services.- Maintain patient condition awareness throughout the Emergency Room visit and update communication boards accordingly.
