Girls Varsity Assistant Soccer Coach (late August - early November) - Trinity School : Job Details

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Girls Varsity Assistant Soccer Coach for the 2020 fall season. This part-time, seasonal, stipended position begins in August and ends in late October/early November, although planning and communication outside of the season is required. Attendance during a two-week pre-season in late August (times vary, and includes a four-day overnight trip) is expected.Specific qualifications include significant experience with competitive soccer. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not essential, and collegiate soccer experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; have a solid understanding of the skills and strategies in soccer; and be able to attend practices and games. Practices occur on weekdays with times varying between 2:45 and 5:45 PM. There are approximately 18 games which may last beyond 5:45 PM.Qualified candidates will also possess strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others' ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor.
